but it's out at sea
too many waves
crash over me
sand keeps sinking
I'm falling in
I see a light
it beams at me
welcomes me forward
it lets me in

break these boundaries
dividing me
and every country
knock down these walls
I've always
been a
dreamer
like you

I'm near the doorway
but I can't rest
I'm struck by anger
of the oppressed
path's unfolding
trees grin at me
I'm on the threshold
my fantasy
I see a light
it shines on me
dancing reflections
but I can't see

I'm in the doorway
but I'm out of time
too many stairs
they wind and wind
key's out of reach
bolt's misaligned
I hear the curses
but they're unassigned
so which way forward?
nothing's behind
I search inside
this frame of mind
I see a light
it's intertwined
with bouncing shadows
